Welcome to Austin!

 

Thanks for booking our home! We are thrilled to share our home with you, and want to make sure that you have everything you need to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible! Austin and this neighborhood of East Austin, in particular, have an endless bounty of eating, drinking, shopping, biking, hiking, swimming, and much much more!

Keys & Getting In/Out

​

  • We have an electronic entry. You will receive the code before your stay. To unlock the door, simply type in the 4 digit code. If you have any troubles using it, please contact Ryan. He can walk you through unlocking the door, or also unlock it remotely if you need.

  • To Lock the door, you can enter the 4 digit code, or simply press the “Schlage” button on the keypad.

Check In & Check Out 

 

  • Check-in is at 3p. Check out is at 11a. If we are able to accommodate your scheduling needs with an early check-in or late check-out, we are more than happy to, depending on what the schedule looks like.

House Policies

​

  • Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the home. There is very comfortable seating on the decks, or outside in the yard. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • Please remove your shoes in the house.

  • Please leave the property as you found it.

  • Please switch off all the lights.

  • Please make sure that all of the windows and doors are closed and locked.

  • Please place used towels on the bathroom floor.

  • There is a fire extinguisher in the cabinet next to the refrigerator.

  • We have a home security system. This includes setting the

How stuff works ...

 

 

Security System & Emergency Contact

​

  • Please contact Ryan at (512) 574-4344 if there are any urgent requests regarding the house.

  • In the case of an emergency, please call 911 and ask the operator for the service you require

  • There is a fire extinguisher in the cabinet next to the refrigerator.

  • We have a security system. Should you need to “disarm” the system, the code is 1337 (this will only happen if you choose to “Arm Stay” or “Arm Away”).

  • For your information: There is a door bell camera outside by the front door and motion sensor in the living room, as part of our security system. There are no cameras in the house.

 

Heating & Air Conditioning

 

  • There are separate thermostats for upstairs and downstairs. It is the Nest.

  • Adjusting the temperature is simple …simply press the Nest, choose your setting, and adjust your heating/cooling by rotating the Nest in the direction in which you want to adjust.

TV & Sound System

 

 

  • Television: To turn on the television, press the System On button on the white remote. Use the black remote to choose between cable (DirecTV), Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

  • Sounds System: Once you are connected to the Wifi, you can listen to music throughout the house via the Sonos speakers. Simply download the Sonos App on your phone, and play music through Amazon music (or you can log in to any music app of your choice).

 

Trash and Recycling

 

  • Trash and recycling pick up is at 630a on Fridays. You can put your trash bags in the tan garbage bin, recycling in the Blue Recycling bins, and leave it on the street the night before.

 

Washing & Drying

 

  • Pretty straight forward--choose your wash cycle, add detergent (a little goes a long way with this machine), and start!

 

Getting Around

Parking, Catching Rides and Getting Around

 

 

Parking

 

  • Parking is very easy--you can leave your car on the street in front of the house without any parking restrictions!

  • You can also use the car port if you wish. Use code 2018 to open and close the sliding gate.

  • Please note that sometimes the gate opens on its own (unfortunately we share the same channel as someone else in the neighborhood, which causes our gate to open).

 

Cabs and Ride Sharing

 

For cabs and ride-sharing apps use our address of 1916 E 11th St, Austin, TX 78702.  When using ride sharing apps, be sure to drop the pin on 11th st and Lincoln St.

Use the CapMetro app or www.capmetro.org to get bus and train schedules.
